Steve Bland, the head of the Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority, gave Metro Council members the rundown Monday evening on his agency’s ongoing yearlong transit planning process.
Bland, who earlier this year officially pulled the plug on West End’s contentious Amp bus rapid-transit project, plowed through much of the same ground he did when we touched based with him in October.
By yearend or the early part of 2016, Bland’s agency intends to present a series of possible transit system scenarios. After that, MTA will begin a public evaluation of the different options. Come next spring, MTA plans to make its long-term and short-term transit recommendations.
