​No Nashville transit projects pitched yet, but form of system taking shape

We won’t see mass transit projects proposed by city officials for a few more weeks.

But the general form of the system transit officials are considering is starting to take shape, even if the exact nuts-and-bolts of transit projects on specific corridors aren’t set in stone yet.

Earlier this week, MTA head Steve Bland updated members of Metro Council on the status of his agency’s transit study, which began around the time the contentious Amp project stalled.

A new report by the Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority outlines the need for additional transit hubs in outlying parts of Davidson County. The map with this story highlights where these types of hubs could potentially go: namely, Five Points, Green Hills, 100 Oaks Mall, Hickory Hollow in Antioch, to name a few.
